Shiro Privacy Policy

A gentle note before we begin

At FREEDOMAI PRIVATE LIMITED, we built Shiro for one reason — to help people know themselves better through honest reflection.

That means your words, memories, and emotions are sacred to us. Protecting them isn't just a legal duty; it's part of what makes Shiro meaningful.

This policy explains how your data is handled — simply, clearly, and transparently.

If you ever want clarity or deletion, write to us anytime at support@freedomai.fun.

1. What Shiro Is (and Isn't)

Shiro is your private digital space — a personal journal enhanced by AI reflections, not a social platform.

Your notes, images, and voice recordings are yours alone.

They are stored safely, encrypted using AES encryption in our database, and can only be viewed when you sign in.

Even our developers can't read them.

We use your content only to provide the service and generate reflections that feel personal and relevant to you.

2. What Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to make Shiro work:

  • Basic account data (e.g., your email or sign-in method).
  • Your entries — text, images, and audio recordings — all encrypted before storage.
  • Device and usage data — technical details like OS, app version, or crash logs to keep things running smoothly.
  • Biometric access (optional) — Face ID / Touch ID handled entirely by your device. We never see or store your biometric data.

We don't track your location, contact list, or anything unrelated to journaling.

3. How We Use Your Data

We process your data for a few core reasons:

  • To save, sync, and display your entries across devices.
  • To provide AI-generated reflections and summaries.
  • To fix bugs, improve reliability, and make your journaling experience smoother.
  • To ensure account security and prevent abuse.

When we use analytics tools (like Mixpanel or Sentry), we never send your private entries — only anonymized technical data.

4. How We Keep It Safe

Security is built into every layer of Shiro:

  • Encryption: All journal content is encrypted using AES-256 before it ever reaches our database.
  • Transmission Security: Every connection between your device and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS.
  • Access Control: Only a very small number of authorized engineers can access limited system logs for maintenance — never user entries.
  • Internal Privacy Culture: Our team is trained to treat privacy as product design, not policy paperwork.

5. Third-Party Partners (Who Help Us Run Shiro)

We rely on a few trusted partners:

  • Google Cloud Firestore — for encrypted cloud data storage.
  • OpenAI & Anthropic — to power Shiro's reflection features. Data sent to these models is anonymized and not stored by them.
  • Mixpanel / Sentry / LogRocket — for app analytics and performance monitoring. Sensitive data is filtered out before sending.
  • Apple / Google / Meta advertising pixels (optional) — used only to measure campaign reach, never tied to your personal journal data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account anytime in-app or by contacting us.

Once deleted, all related content — text, images, audio — will be permanently erased from our systems.

Encrypted backups are retained for up to 30 days purely for disaster recovery, after which they're purged automatically.

7. Your Rights

You always have the right to:

  • Access your data.
  • Correct or update any inaccuracies.
  • Request complete deletion of your account and content.

Simply email support@freedomai.fun and we'll assist you promptly.

8. Incident Response & Transparency

If anything ever compromises user data, we'll inform affected users as soon as possible and take swift corrective measures.

Our internal processes are continuously improved to prevent, detect, and resolve incidents responsibly.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy as Shiro evolves.

If changes affect how your data is used, we'll let you know clearly — through in-app notice or email.
